Cultivating Tradition and Innovation

Zenner Family Farm

Agriculture Roots

Nestled amidst the picturesque rolling hills of the Palouse, Zenner Family Farm is a beacon of agricultural tradition and sustainability in Genesee, Idaho. With Clint and Alecia's deep-rooted connection to the land and a commitment to stewardship, we cultivate a diverse array of crops that embody the essence of this fertile landscape. From the golden fields of wheat to the vibrant patches of legumes, every harvest tells a story of resilience, hard work, and respect for the natural world.

Clint's upbringing was steeped in farming tradition, learning the ropes alongside his grandfather, Paul, and father, Greg, on the expansive prairie. His journey continued as he pursued business management at Lewis-Clark State College, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.

Alecia's childhood in Kendrick, Idaho, was intertwined with the family business, Brocke & Sons Inc., specializing in processing peas, lentils, and garbanzos. Her academic pursuits at Walla Walla Community College, culminating in degrees in Plant Science, Animal Science, and Ag Business, solidified her passion for agricultural excellence.

In 2009, Clint and Alecia joined their lives in marriage, marking the beginning of a shared commitment to family and farming. Over the years, their family expanded to include sons Rhett, born in 2017, and Thayne, welcomed in 2021, alongside Mick and Mylie, Clint's children from a previous marriage.

Since 1935

Continuing the Legacy

In 2011, Clint embarked on a new chapter, succeeding cousin Russ Zenner as the steward of the family farm legacy. Clint and Alecia officially established Zenner Family Farm in 2012, embracing Russ's pioneering work in the no till movement on the Palouse and his pivotal role in founding the Pacific Northwest Direct Seed Association.

The Zenner family's agricultural heritage traces back to Clint's great-grandfather, John Peter Zenner, affectionately known as Jempi. Born in Luxembourg in 1885, Jempi immigrated to the United States in 1903, laying down roots alongside his wife, Gertrude Zellerhoff. Their legacy lives on through their ten children, who dispersed across the Camas Prairie and the Palouse, sowing the seeds of farming tradition.

Clint's great grandfather, Peter, furthered the family's agricultural legacy by acquiring farm ground in Genesee, Idaho, in 1935. Today, we proudly continue to steward and cultivate this land, honoring the enduring connection to our farming roots.

At Zenner Family Farm, we blend tradition with innovation, cultivating a future where sustainable and regenerative agriculture flourishes.
